"Jethro Tull" are an English rock group that was formed during 1967. The music of Jethro Tull is characterized by the songwriting, vocals and flute work of Ian Anderson, who has served as the group's leader since the beginning. Guitarist Martin Barre has been with the band since 1969.
Their early material was blues-rock oriented with an experimental flavor. Their music incorporated elements of classical, folk and 'ethnic' music, jazz and art rock into their own music. "Jethro Tull" has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide during their career.
